MOBILE TASK FORCE ZETA-9 "MOLE RATS"

Mobile Task Force Zeta-9 specializes in the investigation, exploration, and containment of underground or otherwise enclosed spaces exhibiting or home to anomalous phenomena, spatial distortion, unstable topography, and non-euclidean geometry. Most commonly, this includes urban, man-made locations and rural, natural formations.

All-Purpose Isolation Suit	An airtight orange suit capable of protecting the user from CBRNE threats, is spatially manipulated to allow for deep sea diving, and has a life support system that creates oxygen, maintains homeostasis and has several small thruster jets for navigation in low-no gravity environments. Cryo-Foam Grenade	A less-lethal impact grenade, utilizing a chemical mixture of experimental riot foam and nitrogen. When primed, the CF grenade will release sticky foam upon hitting a target area, followed by a delayed expulsion of nitrogen gas, freezing the foam in place. The frozen foam can support a significant amount of weight, allowing users to halt cave-ins, or cut/burn through the center to form a pathway while maintaining structure.	Operative+
Pathfinder Goggles	A pair of retrofitted AN/PVS-5B night vision goggles, integrated with spatial analysis supported by software taken from the Marlowe Interdimensional Map. The Pathfinder Goggles can be toggled to operate in both high and low-light environments, and provides the user with a rudimentary HUD capable of highlighting safe and unsafe paths, as well as flagging potential living entities based on pattern-recognition software. Miniature Stabilization Anchors	Zeta-9 has access to a miniature anomaly sink that can nullify all anomalies in a ten meter radius around the user. Zeta-9 can choose which anomalies will or will not be anchored.	Squad Leader+
Marlowe Interdimensional Map	A computer device that scans interior or otherwise dimensionally unstable spaces, and attempts to mark the most stable route from the user's position to a selectable location within a certain range. Additionally, the MIM uses a background software referred to as "Ariadne's Thread", which keeps track of the user's position as they move through various spaces, and will plot a return course to the point of entry capable of predicting minor topological changes related to anomalous phenomena. TREK Suit	The Tactical Reconnaissance & Exploration Kineto-Suit is a compact exoskeleton designed to fit underneath the user's clothes. The TREK suit enhances physical capabilities, including strength, mobility, and stamina. Due to it's compact nature, it has little protective value, only using reinforced joints to ensure long-term functionality. In order to avoid energy complications, the TREK Suit makes use of kinetic energy produced by the user's movements, converting it into power for the suit. While the TREK Suit will automatically scale its power output for the safety of the wearer, the output can be manually adjusted, though this may have harmful consequences for those operating the suit. Zeta-9 Standard Uniform	While operatives can choose to purchase their own uniform kits (upon approval), the Task Force program will provide a standardized uniform for all operatives upon recruitment. This uniform includes a pair of military climbing boots, Crye Precision G4 Combat Pants (fitted with kneepads), Crye Precision G4 Combat Shirt, a Strandhögg V3 Plate Carrier, and a vented Ops-Core FAST Ballistic Helmet. During internal operations (caves, urban interiors) operatives will use black colored uniforms. During external operations (such as forests or other lush areas) operatives will use combinations of black equipment with ranger green uniforms unless operating in a snowy environment, in which case operatives will be expected to utilize a combination of white/light gray and either black or ranger green depending on the environment. Operations that require operatives to be in a civilian accessible area covertly will not be required to fit this uniform standards. Backpacks will also be provided, and operatives may select between a Triple Aught Design FAST Pack EDC, CamelBak H.A.W.G Pack, REEBOW Gear Assault Pack, or 5.11 RUSH 24 2.0 Pack.
Zeta-9 Garmin Electronics Kit	All Zeta-9 Operatives are provided and required to be in posession of one Garmin Tactix 7 AMOLED watch and a Garmin inReach Explorer+ for the purposes of satellite navigation and off-grid SOS compatibility. Built-in Garmin services for both devices have been reprogrammed to only be compatible with other Foundation devices and can be monitered by Foundation Operations Command centers. Operatives of Officer+ ranking may have Marlowe Interdimensional Map software integrated into both devices for the purposes of interdimensional navigation. However, MIM services can only be provided locally, and are not capable of communicating GPS positions or SOS signals dimensionally.
Camera System	All Zeta-9 Operatives are required to be fitted with either a helmet camera (Contour4K, MOHOC, FireCam Mini) or a body camera (Axon Body 4, Motorola V700, Recoda M502) capable of live-streaming and recording. Camera systems may not be turned off, and can be viewed by the acting Zeta-9 Commander and Foundation Operations Command centers. In public areas, where a helmet/body camera would jeopardize a covert operation, Zeta-9 Operatives must instead equip themselves with a hidden audio recording/streaming device.
CBRNE Mask	During operations in which CBRNE PPE (API Suit) is necessary, Zeta-9 Operatives must be in possession of a full-face resperirator equipped with a panoramic visor. Masks must be approved before use. Some pre-approved masks include the following: MIRA CM-6M, MIRA CM-8M, MIRA CM-I01, AVON FM50, and Tambovmash GP-21.
Climbing Kit	During operations in which vertical climbing is necessary, Zeta-9 Operatives are expected to carry a standard climbing kit. This kit includes a climbing harness, carabiners, pitons, climbing rope, and a manual descender/ascender. Operatives may choose to equip themselves with a REBS Atlas APA-4 powered ascender. For rescue operations, operatives may utilize a REBS Atlas APA-5 powered ascender.
Grapnel Launcher	While grapnel launchers designed for climbing purposes tend to be bulky and unpractical as a long-term asset to carry, Zeta-9 Operatives may bring a grapnel launcher device for the purposes of an initial climb if it can be left in a recoverable space.
Radio Communications Devices	For the purposes of radio communications, Zeta-9 operates using AN/PRC-152 radios, modified to operate via TTE (Through-The-Earth) signalling.
Survival Rations	For operations that are expected to take an extended period of time, basic survival equipment will be provided for any one individual to survive for up to three days. This includes an IFAK, MRE kits, water, heat pads, plasma lighter, and water-proof strike matches.
