Task Force Mission

Mobile Task Force Zeta-9 specializes in the investigation, exploration, and containment of underground or otherwise enclosed spaces exhibiting or home to anomalous phenomena, spatial distortion, unstable topography, and non-euclidean geometry. Most commonly, this includes urban, man-made locations and rural, natural formations.

All-Purpose Isolation Suits	An airtight neon orange suit capable of protecting the user from CBRNE threats, is spatially manipulated to allow for deep sea diving, and has a life support system that creates oxygen, maintains homeostasis and has several small thruster jets for navigation in low-no gravity environments. Handheld Seismometer	A device consisting of a seismometer and a seismograph that creates information based on noises and shaking that originate or are found underground.	Operative+
Miniature Stabilization Anchors	Zeta-9 has access to miniature and handheld versions of the Scranton Reality Anchor & Scranton-Marlowe Topology Stabilizer which have a five meter radius around the user.	Senior Operative+
Pathfinder Goggles	A pair of Night Vision Goggles usable in both high and low-light environments equipped with modified software from the Marlowe Interdimensional Map in order to provide the user with both a Pathfinding Heads-Up Display and a rudimentary Entity Detection System.	Squad Leader+
Marlowe Interdimensional Map	A computer that scans through unstable spaces or spaces throughout multiple dimensions and attempts to create the most stable path from entry to point to where the user is.	Officer+
Rat Pack Connection	The Commander is given either an implant or a drug that allows them to telepathically communicate with their fellow operators and see through their eyes, they can also sense fellow Mole Rats that are nearby. This effect only applies to Zeta-9 operatives that the Commander knows is on a mission with or that they see.	Commander+

Standard Equipment

Outside of the specialized Task Force Technology, Mobile Task Force Zeta-9 also makes use of standardized equipment. Standardized equipment may be swapped out for other forms of equipment that serve the same purpose, granted that they function at a similar level. Not all equipment listed is necessary for every deployment, and can be left behind depending on the nature of the operation.

All equipment listed below is simply a baseline that is provided for all members of Zeta-9, regardless of their personally registered equipment.

Body/Helmet Camera	A live-feed camera, attached either at the chest or head level.
M-50 JSGPM	Military standard gas mask, able to be equipped with one or two filters.
Handheld Automatic Ascender	An automatic device used to quickly ascend/descend previously secured rope systems.
Climbing Harness	A wearable harness, designed for operatives to quickly secure themselves to previously secured rope systems.
Survival Rations	Basic survival equipment for extended operations including bandages, MREs, water, heat pads, and waterproof strike matches.
Rope Deployment Kit	A basic kit of climbing materials for when ascending/descending vertical spaces is necassary. Includes rope, carabiners, and pitons.
Vertical Hook Launcher	While large and unwieldy, this launcher allows operatives to quickly establish a vertical ascension rope when necessary. However, it sees limited use, and is generally only carried by one operative per operation when deemed necessary.
Radio Communications	All operatives are required to carry radio devices, which have been specifically modified to function in subterranean spaces, as well as communicate with those above ground even at major depths.
Standard Uniform	All operatives are provided with G3 combat shirts/pants, a ballistic vest, and a FAST vented ballistic helmet. Standard uniform items are provided in black. In order to assist with visibility in dark spaces, FAST helmets are offered with the option of rear mounted IR Strobes, or a vis-light strip.
