"Something is wrong with Oshaune. Something is… there. When I first arrived on Oshaune, I had already gotten pretty well accustomed to combatting the Terminids - they didn't really phase me anymore. They still don't. Oshaune, however, there's something that scares me there. I was running an operation and got cut off from the rest of my group. We set up a rendezvous point, and I was doing my best to cut my way through to them. That's when I heard it. It was like a mix of a roar and a moan. Wailing. Screeches. Sounds that I have never heard from a bug- sounds I still haven't heard from a bug since. You could literally feel it in the air. It felt like it was coming from beneath the ground, like it was coming from the sky, like it was right in front of you, and like it was thousands of miles away. The darkness of night and the thick fog certainly didn't help. It took me about twenty minutes to link back up with my squad, it had stopped by then. When I asked them about it, everyone said that they hadn't heard a thing. This was before all of the Terminid Control System shit, and all the subsequent operations on Oshaune. After we setup the TCS, I honestly refused to go back there. Now, though, the Gloom has overtaken Oshaune. Whatever it is, or was, it's completely hidden. I've heard some vague reports of similar events, but nobody has any clue what it is. However, one thing is clear. Something is on Oshaune."
