"Okay, I'm finally doing it. I'm writing about Meridia. Meridia was a good planet - it was my home. My family was a family of frontier farmers, doing Democracy's work collecting E-710. I grew up there. It was tough, no doubt, but that's what made me strong enough to do what I do today. When the Terminids started getting out of hand, even before the Second Galactic War was officially declared, there was already a large base of dedicated Helldivers bent on returning the planet to what it used to be. Hell, we even had a name for ourselves - The Meridian Knights. I considered myself one, just as much as I considered myself a Creek Crawler. There was honestly a huge push for liberation, we even had posters! I remember one, probably my favorite, a reference to some really old movie. It said - 'If it bleeds, We can kill it! Take back Meridia!'. It was honestly incredible to see so many of my fellow Helldivers come together to save the planet I grew up on. Then… then the TCS happened. I remember being so excited about it too - finally, a way we could control the Terminid population. Everything could go back to normal. God, how wrong I was. How wrong we were. I've had a difficult time processing it all. I hate the scientists who invented the damn TCS. I hate the fucks who said our only chance to destroy the Supercolony was to destroy the planet. I know they all had the best intentions for Super Earth when they made these decisions, but that was my home, damn it. The destruction of Meridia was bad enough, but at least I could visit the Black Hole. I would sit there for hours - the sounds of the Meridian Hole were honestly… soothing. Like I would visit, and my home would sing to me. Now… now it's only worse. Thanks to the inventions of Super Earth's Ministry of Science, and a little help from the Illuminate's return, my home is on a rampage across the galaxy - headed straight for Super Earth itself. It destroyed Angel's Venture, the first planet I ever stepped foot on as a true Helldiver. Next, it's going to hit Moradesh if we don't stop it. I've lost faith in the Ministry of Science, but they're our only hope in stopping it. With everything being a constant step towards stopping the Meridian Hole, I've really lost my ability to truly think about what I'm doing. I don't know what to think. Well… I do know one thing. I miss home."
