Task Force Mission

The second iteration of the former MTF Omega-7, Mobile Task Force Alpha-9 is a Task Force that explicitly handles the training and usage of low-risk sapient (including non-human) and inanimate SCP Objects for field operations. They are under oversight of the O5 Council, but works with Scientific Research and Task Force Directorate (who also has command over the Task Force) in-order to vet potential recruits.

After recent regulation from the Ethics Committee, Alpha-9 is also the main handler for anomalous personnel wishing to utilize their anomalous abilities or unregulated anomalous objects in the field. As such, Alpha-9 Handlers have exclusive authority to decide whether or not anomalous abilities should be utilized or not.

Task Force Technology

Anomaly Pacification Beam	A handheld rifle that is powered by slime from SCP-999. It fires a continuous beam of light that utilizes SCP-999 effects to emotionally pacify a target.	Operative+
Neural Communication Chip	A small microchip that can be attached to Alpha-9 SCP Objects utilizing a psionic communication connection between the handler and SCP.	Senior Operative+
Thanopenetrating Grenade	A grenade that when thrown, opens up a hole in spacetime where five elongated hands attempt to grab anything in a ten meter radius around the epicenter and attempt to pull their target into the hole.	Squad Leader+
Elpis Suit	An experimental super-suit created at the height of MTF Omega-7 ("Pandora's Box") in an attempt to give a soldier the power of an anomaly. It is now reused to facilitate control of Alpha-9 assets and increase their effectiveness on the field. The suit allows the user to go up to speeds of 40 MPH and tank rounds up to .50 BMG.	Officer+
Anomalous Warfare Doctrine	Due to the special mission parameters of MTF Alpha-9, the Commander is able to field anomalous NPCs as apart of their Task Force. As a result, they can NPC operatives with Limited Regeneration or thaumaturgical capability.	Commander+

Standard Equipment

Outside of the specialized Task Force Technology, Mobile Task Force Alpha-9 also makes use of standardized equipment. Standardized equipment may be changed by each operative, excluding those that have been designated as a universal requirement.
